MuscleSound® Partners with Seven-Time Mr. Olympia Winner Phil Heath
DENVER—November 30, 2017— MuscleSound®, a Denver-based MuscleHealth technology company, today announced its partnership with Phil Heath, an International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) professional and a seven-time Mr. Olympia winner. As part of the partnership Phil will represent MuscleSound at various trade shows and conferences throughout the year as well as educate his social media community on the benefits of MuscleSound.
Heath started his bodybuilding career in 2002, winning the overall title at the National Physique Committee (NPC) USA Championships just three years later, and since then has achieved great heights in the sport, placing first in Mr. Olympia every year from 2011 and 2017. Heath started using MuscleSound’s cutting-edge ultrasound technology this year to measure his fuel levels and muscle symmetry and make certain there is a balanced approach to his workouts. Heath credits the technology and the easily-acquired, real-time MuscleHealth data as being a major contributing factor to his seventh Mr. Olympia victory.
“I’m a firm believer in that proper recovery is critical to an effective training program and it has helped me get to where I am today as an athlete,” said Phil Heath. “MuscleSound provides real-time insight into what my body needs—nutrition, when to take a rest day, when I’m ready to work out even harder, and when I need to concentrate on specific muscle groups. I’ve also used the technology to measure my muscle symmetry, which has resulted in altering my training program to ensure my proper recovery back to health. I’m thrilled to partner with MuscleSound as the technology is a true value ad for any elite athlete and has assisted me in effectively preparing for and winning my most recent Mr. Olympia title.”
In addition to Phil Heath, MuscleSound’s award-winning technology is used by NFL, NBA, NCAA, USA Women’s Olympic Track Cycling Team, Pac-12 and SEC institutions, fitness clubs and rehabilitation centers, physicians, municipal and government service agencies, and a newly entered healthcare vertical. MuscleSound utilizes a proprietary cloud-based software that generates easy-to-read reports with real-time muscle energy and MuscleHealth data based upon ultrasound images for each athlete. This allows for immediate and personalized nutritional and performance-based recommendations to unlock the body’s full potential to improve overall MuscleHealth and performance.
“Phil adds a unique dynamic to the MuscleSound scoring system. We can see that his fuel rating as compared to other top athletes such as top marathon runners, lacrosse players, NFL running backs and crossfitters in our system is off the charts, showing his exceptional athleticism and care he takes to properly prepare his muscles leading up to, and after a competition. It’s an honor for us to partner with Phil Heath and see him use our game-changing technology to help him win the 2017 Mr. Olympia title—his seventh consecutive win,” said Andy Jackson, President and CEO of MuscleSound.
